Study: Curvy Bods Are Brain Candy
Listen up, people, it's science: A curvy woman's body isn't just eye candy, it apparently also works as candy for a man's brain.
Hard-working scientists who have dedicated their very valuable time to this important subject (you're welcome) say that hourglass figures can feel like a "reward for the brain," like taking drugs or alcohol. Wow, if that could be bottled. We're looking at you, Beyoncé and J-Lo.
Researchers say this could explain the male obsession with certain adult publications — and may even have the potential to understand sexual infidelity. ("My brain made me do it?") Again, you're welcome.

Scientists engaged the help of 14 male volunteers (average age, 25) who viewed photos of um, women's "naked derrieres" before and after they had undergone cosmetic backside-enhancing surgery (let's hope, not just for the sake of science). Again, sounds like a stacked deck to see if guys like women who are stacked. According to the Telegraph, brain scans showed that when men ogled — um, observed — the women post-posterior surgery, they showed the same reward levels as if they'd had a drink. You read it right. Big butts make men drunk.
One researcher even acknowledged, "Hugh Hefner could have told us that by showing us how many zeroes are in his bank account." Well, yeah. But it sounds better when scientists say it. Another thing: The evolutionary role of child-bearing hips seems to be at play here — across cultures, big hips symbolize fertility, which nowadays translates to sexy. At least to these 25-year-olds.
To the skinny women out there, take heart: We're sure you all have great personalities.
